Departments, Commissions, and Organizations
- Several landmark acts have provided the Environmental Protection Agency with implied powers that bend with the will of the President and do not answer to the common American Citizen. These unelected officials are further protected through a web of Federal Employee Protections which prevents the termination of their employment therefore they are not accountable to the Citizens of the United States. It is time to reign in these extra-law producing bodies.
- Their laws should be immediately reviewed, debated and voted upon by congressional elected representatives.
- Sunset clauses for Federally funded Organizations, Commissions, Agencies and Administrations trigger shut down procedures only to be extended when debated and approved by Congress.
- Many of these entities could be stricken from the funding bills and allowed to retire such as the Import-Export Bank. Executive Branch Departments such as the Depart of Commerce or Labor and others could be reduced in size; potentially even phased out.
